Rabbi Herman teaches a number of daily and weekly classes, as well as a monthly lecture on a variety of topics of Jewish interest.

The rabbi holds office hours from 5:00 to 6:30 PM on Mon/Wed/Thurs., 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Friday, and by appointment.

Here I hope you will discover our many exciting programs, but more importantly I hope you will find a unique community that is welcoming and non-judgmental. It is as we like to say, "A synagogue with a heart in the heart of the city."

Rabbi Jason Herman serves as the Mara D’Atra, spiritual leader, of Congregation Beth Israel - West Side Jewish Center, and as the Executive Director of the International Rabbinic Fellowship, a professional organization of Orthodox Rabbis across the United States and around the world.

Rabbi Herman has been an advocate for Jewish and social justice causes, and has advised and been involved with several Jewish organizations. He is currently a fellow at Rabbis Without Borders.

Rabbi Herman received his semicha, Rabbinic ordination, from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah, and is an alumnus of the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a former investment banker.
